I have been painting for over 45 years and was first influenced by the wildlife paintings of Ray Harm. I started with watercolor and later moved onto oil painting. "Chipmunk Capers" and "Bobwhites" are two examples using designer's gauche. My interest in oil painting started small, literally. I was influenced by Skip Gleissner, a well-known miniature oil artist in Louisville, Kentucky and began painting miniature oils under magnification. Later, I expanded my work to larger paintings in watercolor and oil and more recently in acrylic. Painting is a joy and a favorite past time that has only increased over time.
